We only categorized picked these laptops because they’re 4K laptops that cost just under $1,500.
Let’s kick things off…
Table of Contents
1. ASUS UX534FTC-AS77 ZenBook 15 4K
Asus did it again with this new ZENBOOK 15 4K edition, which comes with dedicated graphics Nvidia GTX 1650.
This 15.6″ UHD + 178-degree Nano edge display (4096X2160) provides great picture quality and vibrant colors. The screen brightness apparently is 330 to 350 nits, which they didn’t mention somewhere on their page, but I figured it out somehow.
The look and feel is awesome with a minimalist footprint, and the best performance you can get on a lightweight device like this.
Beautiful screen with vibrant colors. The screen isn’t very bright, though.
The touchpad works great, but I don’t think it’s perfect. There’s a little wobble on the left bottom edge.
You can’t have a 4k 60hz refresh rate on an external screen! It’s a pity a Zenbook with dedicated graphics can’t do it! It may be because the HDMI port is an older 1.4 version and not the 2.0 recent one.
2. HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 15.6″ 4K
If you want to watch some videos in bed as you relax with a computer that will do everything other than gaming then this might be a good laptop.
The only thing wrong with it is you can’t put your pen anywhere, so watch out.
I would probably expect a GPU with 4 gigs at the same price point but if you’re not a gaming fan then that’s no big deal. Startup and disk performance are great.
3. HP ENVY 13-13.99-Inches 4K Touch
This Laptop has extremely high specs, so it’s fast.
The screen has great viewing angles and the touchscreen is very responsive.
The 4k screen is great, but overall, I think the display quality is just okay. The resolution is good, but the colors and contrast are just okay.
The keys are very nice and bright, and the backlighting is a nice touch.
It can handle most things but isn’t all that powerful (Except intense gaming, it can handle anything before 2013).
I really like the aluminum build as it doesn’t bend at all.
It’s got all the ports you’ll need.
Battery life is great as long as you don’t use it too much.
The touch-pad has a low level of precision.
The front camera is an embarrassment for a $1200 laptop.
4. MSI Prestige 14 A10SC-230 14″ 4K
If you want a lightweight 4k laptop, look no further.
MSI’s aluminum chassis is sexy in its rose-pink color. Despite the fact that some people might think that this bold blush is too girly, it should be embraced by everyone, regardless of gender. Pink is cool.
The laptop has passed several MIL-SPEC 810G tests, which means it can handle drops, shock, vibration, and extreme altitudes.
A display with no reflections can be both a blessing and a curse. But it can also make the panel look a little blah. The 14-inch screen on the Prestige 14 is somewhere in the middle.
5. Dell Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 13.3″ 4K Touch
The 360-degree flip, the dell stylus, and the mouse work as described. It feels great. Windows 10 has a great feature called Cortana that you can start using in a few minutes. It’s surprising how you get this too good of a deal with all these great specs at this price point.
It’s got a finger scan power button, too, to log in without credentials. The camera’s awesome. With it, you get a McAfee subscription for 30 days and you can extend it for a year for $25.
6. Dell Inspiron 13.3″ 4K Touch
An excellent laptop with a fingerprint reader/scanner. It even folds and is a touch screen.
We recommend that you get the one terabyte SSD which helps the performance.
It’s the fastest, most responsive laptop you’ll probably ever use!
The delete key on the top row is one position from the right-hand side, which is a little awkward compared to what else is out there. It also only has one USB 3.0 Port. Would like to see at least one more.
