“I rushed to buy it as soon it was released and I don’t have no regrets at all! For small gaming laptop amazing performance, low fan noise around 40-45db, and very decent temperature and amazing battery life in such compact package! I managed to get even 14 hours and 35 minutes on full hd 60 Hz, 30% brightness from it which is very impressive for gaming laptop for this size. No to mention that superb Razer build quality and awesome speakers. Trust me, You definitely won’t regret buying it!”
In order to keep up with the ultraportable gaming laptop trend, Razer brought out its latest gaming laptop, the Razer Blade 14. When ultraportable gaming laptops have been around for a while, Razer is bringing out its Razer Blade 14.
In spite of the plentiful options for 13-inch gaming laptops, like Razer’s Blade Stealth 13 series, Razer’s 14-inch gaming laptop is great for those who want to take their laptop wherever they go.
Its AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor, 16GB of RAM, and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 graphics cards make it one of the most popular laptops so far. While it doesn’t perform as well as something like the Alienware m17, it’s half the size and doesn’t lose any performance.
While you will be spending a lot of money when you combine portability with high power, you won’t be disappointed. The Blade 15 is expensive, but with the same specs, it’s actually cheaper – although you’re getting a slightly smaller and slower screen (165Hz vs 240Hz).
Although this device measures only 0.66 inches thick, and although it is thinner and lighter than some gaming laptops available, it is still extremely premium in every single way.
As Raser has been consistently described as the “Apple of gaming laptops,” it hasn’t shied away from this label, and the Blade 14 is no different. You’ll never find a better-feeling laptop than this. Regardless of how expensive it is, it feels very high quality, and if that is something you’re after, it will certainly become a favorite.

“My first gaming laptop…and I love it.”
It boasts AMD and Nvidia hardware that is built on the most recent generation of the ASUS ROG Strix G17. AMD’s Cezanne Ryzen 5000 platform is based around Ryzen 7 5800H mobile processor with 8C/16T and a TDP of 45W. It has lower clock speeds than AMD’s Ryzen 9 5900HX mobile processor.
The GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop, which is already overclocked on the Turbo profile and is capable of jumping up to 130 watts in titles with Dynamic Boost 2.0, so we are running it at 115 watts. When needed (as in games for example), this technology transfers CPU power to the GPU. According to what I can tell, the BIOS I tested also supports resizable BRs.
The laptop also includes two M.2 SSD slots and two DIMMs. SK Hynix ships its HFM001TD3JX013N SSD with the unit in our region, but that depends on your region’s features.
Remove the Phillips screws holding the back panel in place to gain access to the components. Because the LED strip is powered by two ribbon cables attached to the bottom panel, you must lift the panel carefully. In the event of excessive pulling, those might become disconnected.
As a result, it ditched one of the two M.2 slots, reducing the number to two. It upgraded the battery to 90W though. In the smaller Strix G15, there’s still lots of unused space around those small speakers and beneath the keyboard. That’s because the same internal components have to go into that smaller form factor as well.

“I wanted a gaming laptop that can do anything wherever I go. I mainly bought it for work to edit videos and to play some games if I wanted to. I have the 16gb ram version and I was worried. I had YouTube playing a high quality video with discord video chat going on And Call of Duty war-zone playing at the same time. I was very impressed with its performance! Played for 3 hours straight No problems whatsoever! My ram was hovering around 3 to 4GB. Still plenty of Room to do other things.”
It comes with a 16GB RAM processor and an Intel Core i7-10870H GPU. The computer was able to run Assassin’s Creed Valhalla while running 40 Google Chrome tabs, five 1080p YouTube videos, and forty Chrome tabs simultaneously.
Alienware m15 scored 7,636, eclipsing the average for premium gaming laptops (7,378) in the Geekbench 5.2 test.
Alienware m15, however, handled our HandBrake benchmark in just 7 minutes and 7 seconds, which is over 20 seconds faster than the average for the category.
A 1TB SSD from Alienware is just a few MBps faster than the average gaming laptop (1,180 MBps). While the SSD in the Aorus 15G (801 MBps) is faster, it is less competitive than SSDs in the Strix Scar G15 (1542 MBps) and Predator Triton 500 (1,403 MBps).
In terms of being the best gaming laptop, Alienware’s m15 R4 hits almost all of the boxes. The display, keyboard, and raw power of the device can’t be denied. Despite the battery life is disappointing, the price is also excessive.
Look at the Aorus 15G if you’re seeking a battery that lasts longer and costs less than $2,000, and it’s priced under $2,000. Although it has some advantages, it also has some disadvantages.
Alienware m15 R4 is a great gaming laptop for those who can get over its price and limited battery life.
“So far on certain titles of managed to get between 200 FPS and 250 FPS on certain games titles (graphics on medium of course for high frame rate titles). I generally don’t waste my time with reviews but it’s that awesome so yeah. If you’re thinking about getting it just buy it, it’s actually really good, also looks like most parts are easy to upgrade.”
The battery should be some kind of a half-hearted afterthought on a machine like this – a high-end gaming laptop. In this case, you can save your game in the event the power goes out. And, well, that’s not far from the mark, but it’s not just a token attempt put there just for your convenience.
PCMark’s battery life test yielded five-and-a-half hours, and looping a movie yielded four-and-a-half, which is about average and slightly more than we expected from such a slim device.
Of course, we tested the battery’s capacity and were able to cook the components for about two hours before they gave out. If you’re near a power outlet, you can use it wherever there’s an Internet connection.
You can expect your games to run at their best on the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE GX551. Enjoy and treasure it for years to come.
While it may not be useful for everyone, if you’re streaming or using Discord then you’ll be able to access those other tools via touch, and it can be a great help for creative purposes.
RTX 3080 and Ryzen R9 5900 HX together are a powerful combination that’s perfect for plowing through high-demand tasks.
That keyboard and trackpad combination is so bad. It’s a completely understandable reason for its design, but it is difficult to use, and it causes a lot of headaches.

“If you ever think to get one of these just remember don’t get the 2070 version… You won’t get as much performance as you pay for the extra 300 bucks. I did some research online and it appears that the performances of 2060 and 2070 are really really close, even in some games, the 2060 beats the 2070 MAX-Q. Either go with 2060 or 2080, and that would be my suggestion.
This is the best gaming/working laptop. The build quality is just beyond amazing… This is the MacBook for Windows and you could also game on it!”
The Blade Pro 17 isn’t just surprising because it has a 10th-generation Core CPU and 300Hz screen, but because it’s also very fast thanks to the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q GPU. Three-dimensional mark results for the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q are about 20 percent faster than average. Consequently, even with the newer RTX 2070 Super Max-Q or RTX 2080 Super Max-Q in some other gaming laptops, the Blade Pro 17 is able to offer faster graphics performance than these cards. With the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q GPU on the 2020 Blade Pro 17, you’ll have one of the fastest graphics cards out there.
In reality, only the most hardcore gamers would want a refresh rate of 300 Hz. The rest of us will have no trouble with even 240 Hz.
The laptop is definitely not the cheapest in its class, but it is not the most expensive. Even cheaper laptops often have the same hardware, although the design might not be as slick.
Having to carry the Razer Blade Pro 17 over long distances will be a challenge. It is a heavy piece of gear, so you’ll feel it.
Its battery life is the shortest in its class. If you do a lot of work on this laptop, you’ll need to keep it plugged in most of the time.
Razer Blade Pro 17’s components are as powerful as they can be, so you get top performance for the substantial investment you’re making.
Creative professionals and people who work with laptops are probably used to living dongle lives. With the Razer Blade Pro 17, you won’t have any connectivity problems – it has every port you’ll need.
There are a variety of Razer products ranging from mice to laptops. It is even possible to sync the lighting across all of your Razer peripherals with Razer Synapse.
Things to Look for When Buying a Gaming Laptop
Here are some things to consider before buying a gaming laptop
– the price of the gaming laptop of your choice – how much is it? gaming laptops can go from around $250 to over $3000
– the graphics card of the gaming laptop – how powerful is it? most gaming laptops come with an NVIDIA GeForce graphics card.
– whether you’re willing to play or not at high settings (720p, high/ultra) – if yes, then consider getting a cheap gaming laptop. If you’re willing to play on high settings (1080p, ultra) then it’s best to get a more expensive gaming laptop.
– the size of the RAM – most gaming laptops come with at least 4 GB of RAM. 8 GB and above is what you should be looking for in a gaming laptop. – if you have a lot of multitasking to do, it’s best that you get at least 8 GB of RAM.
– speed of the hard drive – most gaming laptops come with a 1 TB HDD (7200 rpm) or an SSD (solid-state drive). If you’re willing to pay more money for faster transfer rates then look for an SSD. You can store up to 10 GB of data.

– portability – how easy is it to carry around the gaming laptop? most gaming laptops weigh between 5 and 8 pounds.
FAQs about Best Gaming Laptops Under $3,000
Laptops are generally used for portability. However, they do get very hot compared to desktop computers with the same specs. Because a laptop has less space for airflow, it tends to lose performance faster than you’d lose with a desktop computer which has bigger fans and space for the air to flow through and cool down the components.
Yes, gaming PCs are generally more powerful and cheaper than similarly spec’d gaming laptops. Because even if you have the same specs in both, the desktop will outperform due to its higher airflow capacity and the ability to cool down faster vs the thermal throttling the laptop’s going to experience.
In order to keep the temperature within reasonable limits, gaming laptops are equipped with sophisticated and powerful cooling systems such as vents, fans, or liquid cooling systems. It is essential that the air can flow freely through all parts of the notebook so as to be able to cool all of the components down to a safe level.
Not necessary. Unlike desktop computers, laptops are designed to be portable. This means that there is no need for it to be plugged in all the time, so long as it is connected to a power supply during gaming sessions. Because gaming needs more power and if you don’t keep it plugged in while gaming, the battery’s going to last an hour at most.
