How To Open A Laptop Without Tearing It To Pieces?

And if you’re reading this chances are you’re looking for a way to do it without damaging your laptop.

Luckily there is a way to open a laptop without tearing it to pieces.

And in this article we’re going to show you how to do it.

First let’s talk about what you should do before you start opening your laptop.

Make sure you have the following items:

  • A small flat-head screwdriver
  • A can of compressed air
  • A clean dry cloth
  • A small Phillips head screwdriver
  • A putty knife
  • A set of tweezers
  • A small sharp knife

Now that you have all of the necessary tools let’s get started.

  1. Start by unplugging your laptop from the power source.
  2. Next remove the battery from your laptop.
  3. Now locate the small flat-head screwdriver that you’ll use to remove the screws that hold the laptop’s bottom panel in place.
  4. Once you’ve found the screwdriver insert it into the small hole on the bottom of the laptop and twist it to the left.
  5. After you’ve loosened the screw remove it and set it aside.
  6. Repeat this process for all of the screws that are holding the bottom panel in place.
  7. Once you’ve removed all of the screws gently lift the bottom panel off of the laptop.
  8. Now locate the can of compressed air.
  9. Hold the can of compressed air upside down and spray the compressed air into the laptop’s keyboard.
  10. Once you’ve sprayed the compressed air into the keyboard use the dry clean cloth to wipe away any dust or debris that’s on the keyboard.
  11. Now locate the small Phillips head screwdriver.
  12. Insert the small Phillips head screwdriver into the hole on the bottom of the laptop and twist it to the left.
  13. After you’ve loosened the screw remove it and set it aside.
  14. Now locate the putty knife.
  15. Insert the putty knife into the space between the keyboard and the top of the laptop.
  16. Gently pry the keyboard up and away from the top of the laptop.
  17. Once you’ve pried the keyboard up use the tweezers to disconnect the ribbon cable that’s connecting the keyboard to the motherboard.
  18. After you’ve disconnected the ribbon cable remove the keyboard from the laptop.
  19. Now locate the small sharp knife.
  20. Insert the small sharp knife into the space between the touchscreen and the bezel.
  21. Gently pry the touchscreen up and away from the bezel.
  22. Once you’ve pried the touchscreen up use the tweezers to disconnect the ribbon cable that’s connecting the touchscreen to the motherboard.
  23. After you’ve disconnected the ribbon cable remove the touchscreen from the laptop.

And that’s it! You’ve now successfully opened your laptop without tearing it to pieces.
