Wondering which laptop is better for you?
Let’s take a look at a quick comparison between Razer Blade 14 Vs MacBook Pro 14 and see which of these two laptops is a better-suited option for your workflow.
Here we go!
Razer Blade 14 Vs MacBook Pro 14
The MacBook Pro 14 features a 10-core CPU and a 16-core GPU, making it 2x faster than the Razer Blade 14 in terms of CPU performance and 4x faster in terms of GPU performance.
It also has up to 21 hours of battery life, compared to the Razer Blade 14’s 8 hours.
The MacBook Pro 14 also has up to 8TB of SSD storage, while the Razer Blade 14 has only 1TB.
Finally, the MacBook Pro 14 has a 16-inch Liquid Retina XDR display with an extreme dynamic range and contrast ratio, while the Razer Blade 14 has a QHD 165Hz display. Overall, the MacBook Pro 14 is a far better laptop than the Razer Blade 14.
The Razer Blade 14 features an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX 8 core CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GPU, making it 1.5x faster than the MacBook Pro 14 in terms of CPU performance and 5x faster in terms of GPU performance.
It also has 8GB RAM (which cannot be expanded), while the MacBook Pro 14 has up to 32GB RAM (which can be expanded).
Finally, if you’re looking for more portability, the Razer Blade is almost half the weight of the MacBook Pro at 4.63 lbs rather than 9.48 lbs (2 kg vs 4 kg).
Overall, if you want better graphics performance and don’t mind slower CPU speeds in favor of lower power usage and less bulkiness in favor of more portability, the Razer Blade 14 is a better choice than the MacBook Pro 14.
It’s my opinion that Razer Blade is better than MacBook Pro because of its portability and build quality. But, only for playing games and some casual work or even a 50/50 split between playing games and working on the side.
It’s also cheaper and has more RAM and storage options.
However, if you are going to use your laptop mainly for work, the MacBook Pro is almost always going to outperform the Razer Blade 14, or any other Windows-based laptop for that matter since it has much longer battery life.
On top of that, you get all the performance you want even on battery, while a windows laptop will only give you its full performance while it’s plugged in.
Razer Blade 14 Vs MacBook Pro 14: Verdict
Get the MacBook Pro 14 if you’re serious about working from your home, or just want a work laptop that’s portable and gives you a full day of battery life and you’re not interested in playing games, at least not regularly.
However, if you want a gaming-heavy laptop that is focused more on playing games, then the Razer Blade 14 is definitely what you should be looking at. It’s cheaper and has better gaming performance. What else would you want?
